I am a big Tolkien nerd. I can tell you the various names of Turin Turanbar, trace the lineages of elven kings, and generally put people to sleep with useless Hobbit trivia. One of my favorite books is The Silmarillion, a masterpiece of form and scope. One of the things that turns the casual fan away however, is the blizzard of names you encounter throughout the book. I looked for some family trees online, but nothing was helping much. So, when you can’t find it, you make it yourself. This was a labor of love, a beautiful puzzle that deepend my understanding of this work. Thankee J.R.R.!
